Golden hour, long shadows, and a city that would rather you pulled over. Keep the shiny little car moving. Wanted stars climb the longer you stay loose, and the department answers with faster units, ram trucks and the SWAT bus. At five stars the chopper comes up: while its spotlight is on you every unit knows exactly where you are, so outrun it, fog it, or lose it in a corner. At six they stop driving like individuals — cars are sent to the junction you are about to reach, not to where you are — the sky goes red and blocks of the city start burning. They never call off a chase; a hideout is the only way to cool down. Hold a drift to refill the boost bar, and if they pin you at a crawl they get the door open. Visit the garage for bolt-on attachments: a cowcatcher throws head-on cruisers over your roof, a plow makes roadblocks stop mattering, and hub spikes open up anything that comes alongside.
